Automated Call-in Telephone Prescription Refill System

We have had an automated prescription call-in refill system for several years. Our current call-in refill system is a state-of-the-art computer system which interfaces directly with Moncrief’s AHLTA computer system for prescription information. We hope you will find our automated refill system to be convenient and easy to use. Please read the following instructions completely before you use the system. Our local refill telephone number is 803-751-2250. The Toll-Free number is 1-866-489-0950 (print for future reference).

  • Due to the large volume of refills, the refill turn-around time in just 48 hours.

  • Call in before noon on Monday, and it will be ready for pickup by Wednesday.

  • Call in by Friday noon, and it will be ready on Tuesday.

  • Calls made after noon will be processed one day later.

Touch Tone Prescription Refill Instructions:

Step 1. Enter the last 4 digits of the sponsor’s social security number, then the pound (#) key.
Step 2. Enter the seven digit prescription number, then the pound (#) key. Do not enter the letter prefix (e.g."RXJ").
Step 3. If you have more than one prescription enter these next as in Step 2. Remember, after the prescription number, press the pound (#) key.
Step 4. To complete the call, hang up.

Our call-in refill system is very "user friendly". The system will first ask you if you have a touch tone telephone. If you do, the system will ask you to press "1". The system offers you several options (eg. how to use the refill system and pharmacy hours of operation). If your prescription cannot be refilled, the system will tell you why. Some possibilities why a prescription cannot be refilled include:

* you have no refills remaining
* you provided the wrong prescription number
* the number may have been assigned during AHLTA down-time

Remember, the waiting time for refills not called into our automated system are normally longer than those called in at the PX Refill Pharmacy.
