In our continuing efforts to provide our patients the best in healthcare, Moncrief
Army Hospital has converted to a new glucose meter, the Precision Xtra Advanced
Diabetes Management System. The Precision Xtra monitor is easy to use, requires
a very small amount of blood for testing, and provides fast, accurate results.
The meter is one of the best on the market and comes with a lifetime warranty as
well as a toll-free, 24 hour customer service line. Moncrief is providing
this monitor and test strips free to all eligible beneficiaries with a prescription
from their provider.
The Precision Xtra monitor and test strips are now the only type available for issue
at Moncrief. If you are currently using another glucometer other
than the Precision meter, converting is easy. You may obtain a new Precision
Xtra meter from the Outpatient Pharmacy in the basement of the hospital.
