The Laboratory provides services to Moncrief Army Community Hospital on a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week basis.

Accreditation

The laboratory is accredited by several national organization which include:

• The College of American Pathologists

• The American Association of Blood Banks

• The Food and Drug Administration

• Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations

Clinical Testing Services

Clinical Testing Services include most routine and limited special testing in the areas of:

Outpatient phlebotomy services are provided in the Laboratory Monday through Friday from 0730 - 1600.  Outpatients are required to present valid identification when arriving for testing.  Within MACH, laboratory orders are placed in the hospital information system by the clinic/location the patient was seen.

Civilian laboratory requests will be performed for eligible beneficiaries based on hospital capabilities. 

Laboratory requests from providers outside of MACH should be written on a prescription from from the provider and presented at the laboratory reception area.  Proper ID is required when arriving for testing.

Some procedures require an appointment or approval by a pathologist.   Please contact the laboratory at 751-2260/7808 for details about specific test procedures and specimen collection requirements.
